Not that impressed really, took my grandson there where there were too many screens and too much reading - which we both found a bit tedious and boring. Didn't have much of a wow factor but was free and passed an hour. Probably wouldn't rush back.

Like Bristol itself it’s interesting, charming but a bit disorganised. Great for free!

M Shed is a museum in Bristol, England, located on Prince's Wharf beside the Floating Harbour in a dockside transit shed formerly occupied by Bristol Industrial Museum. The museum's name is derived from the way that the port identified each of its sheds. M Shed is home to displays of 3,000 artefacts and stories, showing Bristol's role in the slave trade and items on transport, people, and the arts. Admission is free.

This is a fascinating place with items from all over the area and of all types. Romantic alters to mad micro-aircraft. Then to round it off, very thought provoking social histories.

I lived in Bristol until I was 18, now 66 and return maybe every 4 to 6 weeks for shopping trips etc, but had never been into the M Shed. I found it extremely informative and loved finding out the history of the areas of Bristol that I knew so well.

Great exhibition of Bristol development. No entrance fee, just donations. Interesting layout of exhibits. At first glance it looks messy, but it has a thread and many benches to sit and rest.

The ground floor exhibits are very dated now, and bewilderingly laid out so that it's hard to follow a coherent story about Bristol's history. The more recent installations upstairs are better but often confusing with many broken exhibits. Nonetheless, it's free, with many charming objects and some good bits of text.

A small but quite comprehensive museum of Bristol History. A family friendly venue. I enjoyed seeing some pieces from the recent historical events; including XR Bristol and Black Lives Matter protests
